English builders collection

a pot of sounds

Click on the cover to download the game

lady_bug_faceThis is a free file folder game for you. You will find two mats, one for short vowels and one for long vowels and some cards. Invite children to sort the cards in the correct mat. Ask questions such as “ what’s this?” for example, “stars”. Exagerate the sounds while repeating “stars”. Let them think if it has a short or long sound. Then invite children to sort the cards in the correct mat. You can use the worksheets for individual work.

As in all my games, you will find blank cards for you to personalize the game. You can cut out pictures from magazines or write the words you are working with your children.

Enjoy this game!

Let children sort the cards according to beginning vowel.

If you are working with older children you can use the word cards.

You will find some blank cards. Sometimes I let my children look for pictures or even write words to enhance the games.

Any doubts? Send me a comment. I will answer asap!

Happy teaching!
